The SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Instructor (OWSDI) course is designed to teach current Divemasters or Assistant Instructors certified with a recognized dive training organization the knowledge to effectively function as an open water scuba diver instructor. This program is divided into two sections, an instructor development course (IDC) and an instructor evaluation course (IEC).

This course is for individuals that wish to share their love for the underwater world with others and start their career as Instructor!

Course Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 18
  • Certified diver for a minimum of 6 months
  • Proof of 100 logged dives completed in a number of different environments with varying depths
  • Be certified as a SDI Divemaster, SDI Assistant Instructor, or equivalent
  • Provide proof of current CPR, first aid and oxygen provider*, where local law permits

PART TIME COURSES

Course Price

  • CHF 2.999.-

FULL TIME COURSES

Course dates in Horgen, Switzerland: 04.12.23 – 10.12.23

The course price depend on the number of participants

  • 1 participant: CHF 2.599.-
  • 2-3 participants: CHF 2.399, –
  • 4-5 participants: CHF 2.199, –
  • 6+ participants: CHF 1.999, –

Included in the course price is the entire SDI Instructor course, Specialty Instructor Deep, Navigation, Dry Diving as well as the TDI Nitrox Instructor. This gives you a good base to start your career as an instructor.

Also included in the course price is the annual fee for SDI / TDI of € 180.- per year, the Instructor exam, the Instructor registration fees and all the training material including online training required for the courses.

To pay separately are only possible travel and accommodation costs.
